  6. The purpose of this disk is to take the pain out of setting up printer
  7. drivers on the Amiga.
  8.  
  9. The script was written by Nick Lines, the Canon and Star printer drivers are
  10. by Wolf Faust and the Panasonic and Hewlett Packard drivers are by unknown
  11. authors.

  13. Instructions

  15. To run, simply double click on the Install-Printer icon after booting from
  16. the disk which you want to install the printer drivers on (eg Workbench or
  17. Hard Disk, PenPal, Dpaint, etc) and follow the on-screen prompts.

  19. You will need some free space on the disk you boot from. To do this, decide
  20. on something that you don't need on the disk and delete it! The drivers
  21. themselves are small (between 10-20k), but the Canon drivers come complete
  22. with full documentation and preference programs, should you be using
  23. workbench 2 or greater. For these you will need up to 50K free.

  25. That's really all there is to say about this disk. Individual driver
  26. documentation can be found and read in the DOCS drawer on this disk. I hope
  27. that this makes things easier to use for people.

  29. When reading documentation, the Canon BJ10, 10ex, 20 and 200 documents are
  30. all the same, called BJ10.readme
  31.  
  32. After running the installer, please do not forget to set the printer type
  33. in preferences. This means that you have to highlight your printer in the
  34. list given to you upon entering the printer section of preferences. For
  35. different printers this will be:

  37. Star 9 pin  - Star9Plus
  38. Star 24 pin - Star24Plus
  39. Star SJ48   - CanonBJ10 (!)
  40. Panasonic 9 - EpsonX
  41. Panasonic 24- EpsonQ
  42. CanonBJ10ex - CanonBJ10
  43. CanonBJ20   - CanonBJ10
  44. CanonBJ200  - CanonBJ10
  45. CanonBJ300  - CanonBJ300

  47. For Citizen printers, please run the install program on the Citizen print
  48. manager. If you are using an A1200 this doesn't work, so run my install
  49. program and tell it you are using a Panasonic with the same amount of pins.
